Shannon comes to TV-13 from KTEN-TV in Denison, Texas, but don't let that fool you, she is proud to be a Yankee and a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Shannon attended Millersville University, majoring in Broadcast Communications. While at Millersville she kept herself busy with an athletic scholarship for track and field, breaking both the indoor and outdoor school record in pole-vaulting. During college, Shannon was fortunate to have two internships which both contributed greatly to her career. The first at WGAL in Lancaster, PA and the second at WBAL in Baltimore, MD. After graduating college, Shannon received her first job offer in Texas! Since she had wanted to be a reporter since she was young, Shannon immediately packed her bags and headed down to the Lone Star State. While working at KTEN-TV Shannon had the experience of covering a variety of stories including the "Floods of '07" which put Lake Texoma in the national spotlight. But after a year of Texas life, Shannon was ready to return home to be closer to her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys running, shopping, and catching up on time with friends and family. And of course cheering on the Birds...Go Eagles!!
