State Police were dispatched to a house on Monroe Drive in Eldred Township this morning at 10:16 for a possible overdose. The 9-1-1 caller claimed he may be overdosing on methamphetamine, but also told the dispatcher he had a gun.
Troopers responded to the house, and asked the 38 year old Seth Gillen to step outside. Instead he produced a firearm and pointed it at the officers. One Trooper fired two rounds in the direction of the suspect, but cannot confirm whether or not he was hit.
a SERT team responded, and a nearly 6 hour stand-off ensued.
Nearby residents say they weren't surprised to see police at that residence. Gillen was taken into custody without further incident.
