News 13 is launching the 4th year of "Let Them Walk in Our Shoes" Almost 10,000 pairs of shoes have been sent to U-S Soldiers to be given to children overseas, sent to children on Indian Reservations in the U.S., and we have also been able to provide for many local families in need as well. This year a local soldier, born and raised in Palmerton is our connection to Iraq. Daniel Dailey is the Command Sergeant Major of the 4th Infantry Division stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. CSM Dailey and his unit are being deployed to Iraq. We will also continue to help local families in need through local distribution outlets.

Thank you to all of you who have supported our project in the past. This is truly a community effort! Your generosity has been amazing. This year we are again collecting new and lightly used children's shoes and we are looking for help meeting the shipping costs to send the shoes overseas. Community, church or civic groups or absolutely anyone who wants to get involved is welcome to come up with any unique fundraising ideas to help us!
