Police are investigating a bank robbery in Wayne County. State Police responded to a call at People's Security Bank in Gouldsboro this morning.

Police tell us a man entered the bank around 10:15 flashing a handgun. The man demanded money from the teller and got away with a large quantity of cash.

Police say the man fled in a red car. There were road blocks set up this afternoon and interviews were conducted with neighbors and businesses nearby.

Many customers who came to the bank to make a deposit were stunned this afternoon. The bank was closed, the doors locked and the parking lot empty.

" I am shocked you don't expect things like this to happen in such a small town said Danielle Furello. Many other customers like Chuck Owens who stopped by the bank agreed. " I expect to see these things in Scranton and places down the line but not in a small town like this one.
