A new story is being written for an old library in Milford. The Milford Community house served the people in Pike County as the library for decades, but now its getting a new chapter. It will be welcoming thousands of visitors to the area.

The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau plans to set up information booths inside the building. There will be brochures and information that will highlight the history of the community.

The visitors center will be open seven days a week. Right now, people need to go to the Chamber of Commerce to get that information, but they are only open on the weekdays.

The only other visitors centers in the Poconos are in Jim Thorpe and Hawley.  People living in Milford believe having the new visitors center in Milford will provide a shot in the arm to the local economy.

The Pike County Commissioners say the plan is to have the new visitors center opened up by March.
