Officials in Pocono Township are thinking about moving their library because of space constraints at the township municipal building. Pocono Township Commissioners hired an architect to look for ways to better use the municipal building. One idea being discussed is to move the library out of the building and to give that space to another department. Commissioner Jerry Lastowski says they want to keep the library in Pocono Township but they want taxpayers to get the most out of the contributions they make to the library system. If they cannot host it at the municipal building they would like to host it at another location in the Tannersville area. Pocono Township Commissioners will talk with the Eastern Monroe Public Library's board of directors about a possible move at a public meeting this Thursday at 8-am.
