Over 250 people showed up to Camp Ladore in Waymart to voice their concerns over the fracking ban in the Delaware River Basin.
It was a heavy police presence at Camp Ladore, over 11 State Troopers were stationed inside making sure the arguments on both sides remained civil.
Fracking Supporters were appalled by the ban. They called it un-american and say landowners are being stripped of their natural given right to make money.
Those supported the ban showed up with picket signs and literature to support their claims. They argued that the economic benefit is only short term and fracking is not safe.
They spoke about studies being done in neighboring counties in PA where fracking is allowed proved the drinking water was being contaminated.
Another public hearing is scheduled for tonight and two more will follow on Thursday in Philadelphia.
