With the unseasonably high temperatures forecasted for this week, it may be hard to not start thinking about summer.

The Lehigh Valley Pool Pals already are. They're getting ready to celebrate a big anniversary at a local pool this year.

2018 marks ten years since the grand re-opening of the Baer Memorial Pool in Lehighton.

Lehigh Valley Pool Pals president, Mark Hoffman, tells News 13 it's important to celebrate the ten-year mark and all the memories created in that time.

"It gives children a way to remember that summer and what they did. When you talk to older adults in the community, the first thing they'll say is 'I remember spending my summers at the pool' and that's what it's all about," said Hoffman.

This Saturday night, the Pool Pals will kick off the ten-year celebration with the seventh annual Cabin Fever Dance at the Orioles Pavillion.

Baer Memorial Pool is set to open for the summer on Memorial Day Weekend.
