Students at CCTI are preparing for a major state competition.

CCTI's Skills USA students have been going head-to-head all year with other local technical schools.

They compete in real-life scenario competitions in their respective technical fields that help prepare them for the workforce.

Students who competed in the district competitions recently received their medals. Those who won gold are now headed for states where they will compete against over eighty other schools.

"Now they compete against each other to be the best in the state so the competitions are ramped up. They're very, very difficult, I mean it's entry skill level, what the students need to know for the workforce and that's what industries are looking for," said Kevin Kuehner, the main advisor of Skills USA at CCTI.

The Skills USA state competition will take place on April 18th out in Hershey.
