The severe storms that ripped through our region Tuesday left thousands across several counties without power.
Trees and wires were knocked down all over, including here in Carbon County.
A large pine tree fell across PPL wires on Pohopoco Drive around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon, leaving Beltzville State Park and surrounding areas without power.
The park manager tells News 13 Beltzville is still open normal hours but cannot complete cash transactions.
"If the power is still out if [people] are doing any kind of cash transactions, they should make sure they have cash. If they're coming to have a picnic they can still have a picnic, we have picnic shelters," said Alma Holmes, Beltzville State Park manager.
PPL estimates power should be back on in the park by 11:00 Thursday night.
