One Panther Valley teacher wants her students to know great things start right in their school hallways.

Kim Laird is an eighth grade teacher at the Junior Senior High School.

A couple weeks ago, she put out a call on Facebook for graduates to share their Panther Valley experiences and stories about where they are now.

In just 72 hours after posting the initial message, Laird received almost two hundred responses. It's all in hope that current students will be inspired to "take back their education."

"[It's] so we can give our kids hope and a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel that there is something out there for everyone. They just have to put in a little bit of work and they do get a good education here," said Laird.

In the past few weeks, Laird has collected well over two hundred messages dating back to the Class of 1971.

She's working now on the bulletin boards where all the photos and stories will be displayed this school year.
