The American Cancer Society is selling its building on route 209 in Stroud township, but representatives say services are still available.

"The building isn’t there but the American cancer society is in your community and the services remain the same," said Program Manager,Jennifer Washney. "We’re providing rides to treatment,we provide programs and services and information," she added.

The road to recovery is a free pickup and drop off service from the American Cancer Society to patients, to help people battling cancer get to appointments.

"You know there going to be there when you finish and take you right home it’s really a blessing," said Client, Kathleen Benaram. "I really appreciate all the help I’ve gotten from them,” she added.

Since beginning the process of selling their Monroe county location back in November after 24 years of ownership, the American cancer society has been focusing more funding on their community outreach programs like the 'Road to Recovery'.
