The torch has been passed for a music festival that has been around for nearly two decades in Carbon County.

Formerly known as ZooStock, the festival will now be called LOCStock held on Labor Day.

Wednesday night at the Lehighton Outdoor Center, officials are getting to work to plan out the day of family fun. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Organizers say they are very excited to take on the event right where it left off.

"We're really happy to have an iconic event here a the Lehighton Outdoor Center. We've been looking for something to do and this has purpose so we are very happy to be putting it together," said Jerry McAward President of the Lehighton Outdoor Center.

Volunteer meetings will be held once a month leading up to the festival. Anyone who would like to get involved can contact the Lehighton Outdoor Center for more information.
