A teenage boy from Tamaqua allegedly met four different men at different times through a dating app. The app they met through is called Grindr.
Brad Murphy and Matthew Delgado both plead not guilty today, but the judge bound all charges over to trial.
Murphy, Delgado, and the boy all lived in Tamaqua at the time. The boy testified during Murphy's hearing, but says he cannot remember the exact date when he walked to Murphy's home to receive oral sex. Murphy was 36 at the time. They met only once. The minor says he and Murphy never spoke again after he left.
The boy did not testify at 28 year old Matthew Delgado's hearing.
Police say Delgado met with the minor on two occassions, once alone, and a second time for a threesome with a Lehighton man. Both time Delgado had sexual intercourse with the minor.
According to the Grindr terms of service, you must be 18 years or older to use the app. The teenage boy admitted to verifying he was of age to use the app, but it's unclear if Murphy or Delgado knew he was underage once they met him in person.
This is the same minor who allegedly had sexual interactions with Dale Schimpf of Nativity BSM and Charles Joy of Port Carbon borough council..
Delgado and Murphy are charged with felony statutory sexual assault and deviate sexual intercourse.
