Two students from the Carbon Career and Technical Institute are awarded scholarships after they place in a state wide competition.

Monday afternoon, representatives from the Automotive Training Center in Warminster, Pennsylvania presented seniors Michael Miller and Austin Haydt with those scholarships to attend their school at their campus.

The two took a written test, beating out nearly 200 other students across the state to place within the top 10. From there each candidate was interviewed, narrowing it down to the top scholarship winners.

Those scholarships will help cover a portion of Austin and Michael's tuition costs to further their education in the field of automotive services.
