Today at the Palmerton Junior High, a group of kids from the Carbon Lehigh intermediate Unit got a long awaited gift. Variety Pittsburgh is a charity that helps families with kids that can't ride bikes, because of their special needs.

They gifted 12 bikes, that cost roughly $1800. For the families, they're free. We spoke with Rachel Voulo, who says "That was a huge relief, i don't think we would have been able to get the funds together to afford this on our own" Voulo teared up when she saw her son smiling while riding for the first time. "I think sometimes people take for granted things that come naturally to other children. So for me everything is a victory, and it definitely made me tear up because he settled in so easily, that doesn't come commonly for him"
