According to the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, between 11 and 20 percent of veterans suffer from PTSD. Sadly the condition has claimed many lives, including the life of 59 year old Rick Murphy of Massachusetts. Murphy was a volunteer at Paul's House, a shelter for homeless vets at VALOR in Jonas. He was a US Army Ranger who passed away in March. His friends and fellow veterans are honoring him this weekend with a poker run and party. Organizers expect to have one-hundred riders, but more are welcome. The ride benefits VALOR. The poker run starts at Pocono Mountain Harley Davidson in Snydersville. Registration opens at 9AM with kick stands up at noon. The ride ends with a family friendly "after party" at Paul's house for just $10 per person.
