A Luzerne County man with ties to Carbon County is now the center of a homicide investigation.
One of the last places Bill Morse was seen alive was in Jim Thorpe when he disappeared over a year ago.
Bill Morse did a lot of volunteering in the Jim Thorpe community, specifically for the Mauch Chunk Opera House. One of the last places he was seen was at the unveiling of the pedestrian bridge. Pennsylvania state police are now conducting a homicide investigation.
15 months after Morse went missing, Pennsylvania state police have additional information about his case. They executed search warrants today on multiple Luzerne County locations including his Sugarloaf home. Morse's friend Jeff Bonacci held a news conference on Tuesday asking for the public's help and started a Facebook page called BILL MORSE Missing. The page has generated thousands of comments and shares. Bonacci also said in his news conference Morse made a brief stop in Hazleton to try and fundraise for the Mauch Chunk Opera House. Many people are thanking Bonacci for not giving up on his friend.
Bonacci says there is a 10,000 dollar reward for information helpful to the investigation. State police have not released any other details on the case.
