A judge has sentenced a Bushkill man to five to eleven years for a crash that claimed a life in Monroe County. 29 year old Stephen Martini received that sentence this afternoon for a crash back in 2015 on River Road in Smithfield Township. Police say martini crashed into four vehicles. Police found his blood alcohol level to be more than twice the legal limit. The tests also showed that he had used marijuana. 44 year old Guiliano Joseph of Stroud Township was killed. The victim's family testified in court this afternoon and passionately appealed to the judge to give Martini a harsh sentence.

A Stroudsburg woman will spend two to five years in state prison for hitting and killing a man walking on Route 611 in Bartonsville. 56 year old Denise Harraman of Stroudsburg hit and killed 27-year-old James Perrotte and then kept going for several mines until she drove her truck into a sign. Police say Harraman was driving under the influence of prescription pills. In court today the judge told her she should have followed warnings on the medicine and not driven after taking it.
