People who visited the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center in East Stroudsburg today got a sweet surprise. The Kitchen Chemistry Bakery was on hand inside the Lehigh Valley Pocono campus throughout the day selling their sweet treats. Money raised is going to the hospital auxiliary to fund their mobile mammography and to fund various women and children's organizations in the community. The bakery has been doing this fundraiser for the non-profit for the last few years. "First of all it gets your product out into the environment and into the area. People know that you are there and it's good. It's good karma to give back to the community so that you get known and you feel good when you do these things," says owner Lisa Diemer. The bakery had their best sellers on hand for people to purchase, which included their red velvet, peanut butter passion and coconut cream cupcakes.
