Some people saw more than a half foot fall since Monday night, while others have seen more ice than snow. Stroudsburg public works director Brian Ace and his team, spend the start of their week dealing with a wintry mix.
“We’re managing pretty well, we’ve got some guys out scraping right now and throwing some salt down,” said Ace.
He says the first major winter storm of the year hasn’t been easy to deal with, but he manages to find a way around it. And being prepared months ahead of time has definitely paid off for his department.
“These types of storms are pretty tough with ice and rain and snow, it’s tough for all municipalities and contractors as well,” added Ace.
