We had some special guests here in the News 13 studio Tuesday morning. Students from the Lehighton Elementary Center got a behind the scenes look at what goes into putting together the news.
Ms. Hydro's first grade class was eager to learn the ins and outs of the studio. There were questions about everything from the lights to why we have so many TV's. Later in the tour, the kids got a hands on lesson in the control room, learning about graphics, directing and audio.
"it's great to get out and meet people they see on TV and get to ask questions and experience something they may never see again and hopefully it sparks some interest and some of them want to do these things someday themselves," said Ms. Hydro.
Marie talked to the class about her job as an anchor. Along with the importance of practicing reading skills and working together as a team, just like we do here in the newsroom!
