Winterfest is back in Jim Thorpe for its 28th year. The event brings hundreds of people to the historic district, to celebrate all things winter.

“We love getting together with our businesses, they're all so very supportive of us and everything that we do," said Organizer, Jen Christman. "Honestly the event couldn’t happen without them, so we’re thankful for their support,” she added.

The 2 day Winterfest starts Saturday,  featuring things like ice carving and live entertainment. And business owners we spoke with, are excited for the weekend to begin.

“I think it’s just coming together to become more and more popular," said Owner of Marion Hose Bar, Aillinn Brennan.

And also something that helps all of the businesses kind of get through the winter, which can be a little bit tough,” she added.
