A Carbon County movie theater is closing its doors after taking a financial hit due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mahoning Valley Cinema made the announcement Tuesday night on Facebook but the post and Facebook page has since been deleted.
It went on to say the closing is directly related to the COVID-19 shutdown and they will not reopen when this is all over.
Residents News 13 spoke with on Wednesday are sad to hear the pandemic took a business out and they fear this will not be the last.
We could not reach the owners of the Mahoning Valley Cinema for comment on their decision to close.
The independent 8 screen cinema opened in December of 1995 in the Carbon Plaza Mall.
