The Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Company opens up its kitchen for takeout dinners.

It's part of its, "grilling with the firefighters" fundraiser. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the department to cancel all of its typical fundraisers and bingo nights. Meaning the department is losing out on a lot of fundraising dollars.

"We're losing about two and a half to three thousand dollars per week, so we needed to find a way to do something to pay our bills. So we decided to open up our kitchen up and see how we would do selling food," said Chief Bruce Berger.

The kitchen is open Wednesday through Saturday from 4-8 p.m. A full menu is available on the department's Facebook page. Orders can be placed by phone by calling 570-722-8325 or walk-in orders are also available.
