The oldest barber shop in Tamaqua is now under veteran ownership..
Barnisky's Barber Shop on Broad Street is now owned by 23 year army veteran Chad Woleslagle. He has been cutting hair for Barnisky's at night the last four years, but decided to buy the shop because he is retiring from military service this August. He only owned the shop less than a week before the coronavirus shutdown, but says the community has been great to him since Schuylkill county went green..
"It's great being supported by the community and I want to support the community back." Woleslagle said, "We offer an eight dollar haircut. Keep it affordable. Help everybody out in the community. It's not about getting rich, but being a part of the Tamaqua area."
The shop is open Monday through Friday with varying hours.
