A wild goose chase leads to the rescue of a feathery friend.
Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area officials were called to help a goose that got a hook stuck in it's bill. They caught the goose by luring it with bread and folding it into a net. They were able to remove the hook without harming the goose, but now they are asking park visitors to make sure they are cleaning up after themselves for the sake of wildlife.
"When you bring it into the park take it out don't leave anything in the park, that's the best rule of thumb," Richard Evans, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Ecologist, said.
Evan tells us they have areas to throw away trash like used fishing lines to prevent animals from getting tangled in them.
