A Lansford man is dead and another man is charged with causing a fatal crash Monday afternoon in Nesquehoning while driving under the influence.

37 year old Jeremy White of Temple Hills, Maryland was arraigned on felony vehicular homicide and DUI charges Tuesday morning.

State police say White crossed over the yellow line on Route 54, hitting a motorcycle driven by 30 year old Terry Angel Gonzalez of Lansford.

Gonzalez was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Court paper work states White admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana the night before. Police say there was a strong smell of marijuana and paraphernalia in the car at the time of the crash.

White was taken Carbon County Correctional Facility. He later posted bail.
