Another New Jersey man drowns in the Delaware River, it's the fifth drowning this season.
It happened on Saturday when the 25 year-old victim was swimming near the Coppermine Parking Area on the New Jersey side. The Monroe County Control Center started receiving several calls of a swimmer in distress. Rescue crews recovered the man's body a short time later. National park officials say this is the second deadliest year for drownings at the park since the 1970's. They are encouraging everyone to wear life jackets while in the river, and they say no drownings have occurred while the person was wearing a life jacket.
