The Lehigh Carbon Community College is getting creative on how to get students ready for the fall semester.

a drive-thru admissions day was held Wednesday at the LCCC Tamaqua campus.

Current and incoming students along with their families could do everything from the initial application process, scheduling of placement testing, orientation schedules and class planning for the fall.

Officials say many students are realizing their original plans to attend a four year college have drastically changed due to the pandemic.

"We're seeing students who are changing their minds and choosing to stay home and stay safe. They can now access an education that is much more affordable and still transferable to these 4 year schools later," said LCCC Site Director Amber Zuber.

This was the last drive-thru admissions event. However, officials say their services will be available in person at their various campus locations by appointment only. You can find more information here.
