Drug addiction and overdoses haven't disappeared during our national health emergency, so a Monroe County group is trying to be a ray of hope.

“People were finally on the right road and then they are hit with this, isolation and depression and they finally had jobs and now they don’t,” said Exc. Director Deb Hartley.

Which is why Sunday August 30th her group in partnership with Stroudsburg Wesleyan church, will recognize those lost to drug abuse during their first overdose awareness memorial drive.

“An evening to actually recognize and honor those in our area who we have lost to overdose,” she added.

August 30th at 6pm the Stroudsburg Wesleyan church will host their event. Participants will go through prayer sessions, and enjoy reflection music.
