Pennsylvania State Police Troop N wants to make sure everyone has something warm to wear in the coming winter months.
The troop is kicking off its annual Coats for the Community campaign. New and gently used coats for all ages are being accepted at drop boxes at the Lehighton, Fernridge, Stroudsburg and Hazleton barracks.
Troopers say as donations come in, they find their way to people who need it most.
"This is north Eastern Pennsylvania, the weather can be 70 degrees in November or it can be 7 degrees so you cant put it on if you don't have it so we want to make sure people have it as quickly as we possibly can," said Troop N Public Information Officer David Peters.
The drive is also collecting new hats, gloves and blankets. Donations will be accepted through November 13th.
