A young Monroe County man reaches Eagle Scout ranking for his work bringing a new bench to a library in Stroud Township.

Jacob William Glavich assembled the bench and worked alongside others to update the flowerbeds out in front of the Eastern Monroe Public Library. Glavich says he's learned a lot from this project and throughout his journey to become an eagle scout.

"It's about the community effort that goes into everything. I couldn't have done, completed my project, without the help of my family and friends and other people in my troop and what that also teaches me, when the people they go to do projects similar to this, I can also go help them. You wanted to go help the people that helped you do your project because again it's really about community and you all want to help each other," Eagle Scout, Glavich, said.

the newly-donated bench is located inside the library and has a plaque commemorating the occasion.
