Saint Luke's University Health Network's newest hospital in Franklin Township is on track to open it's doors in 2022. In the mean time the health network is creating a piece of history.
Over the next two weeks, donors, employees, and non-profit partners will each take their turn to sign a structural beam. Hundreds of names and messages have already been added.
President of the Carbon Campus tells News 13 it's a great way to celebrate the building process while capturing the impact the new hospital on Harrity road will have on the Carbon County community.
"As you can see the beam is already well populated and people are really creative with how they sign and create a memory for themselves and the community," said John Nespoli.
Nespoli says they're not yet sure where exactly in the hospital the beam will be placed, but it will be in a location where everyone can see it.
