In a time like this it's important to show our support to caregivers, and today is the perfect day because it is National Caregivers Month.
News 13 stopped by Visiting Angels in East Stroudsburg to talk about what it means to be a caregiver. They say it takes a special kind of person with the drive to help people. They say there is nothing more rewarding than being there for someone in their time of need.
"We make a difference. One thing I can tell you firsthand, is that we take them and we hold their hands, and we love them, and we care for them, and at the end the biggest reward is being a caregiver," Julie Cebollero, Visiting Angels Retention Coordinator, said.
Cebollero says while some things have changed during the pandemic one thing that never will is caregivers being there when it matters most.
