A Monroe County home is shining bright for the community this Christmas.

Over 180,000 lights are strung up at the Belvin family home and they twinkle in synch with 36 Christmas songs. This is the eighth year the family is putting on the lights show. They raise money through the display, and this go around they chose to support the Pocono Mountains United Way. The home owner says it's important to remember Christmas traditions like this, and they're glad they can raise money for the community at the same time.

"I just feel like it's a lost past time. When we were kids our parents would put us in the car and we would just drive around and look at Christmas lights," Jerrod Belvin, Belvin Family Christmas Light Organizer, said. "It's a good way to spread some Christmas cheer. It's something that you can look at on YouTube, but it doesn't do it justice."

You can see the beautiful glow on Cherry Lane Road in Pocono Township. Feel free to drive by the display or get out and walk around to take a closer look, but your last day to do so is January 1st.
