Christmas day is only one week away. Some kids in Monroe County's West End will have something to look forward to under the tree.
Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network held its annual toy distribution this morning. One by one cars pulled up and volunteers placed bags of toys in the trunk. Organizers say it takes a village of volunteers to make it all possible.
"Despite the change in the weather and the re-scheduling required and with pre-bagging because of COVID. There will be over 250 kids receiving a much warmer and happier Christmas," Tom Campbell, said.
Organizers say families they serve made a list of items on their children's wish list. All of the toys given out were donated to PVEN by area businesses and residents.
