An area food bank is getting some help roasting hunger one large hot coffee at a time.

Second Harvest Food Bank in Nazareth received a check for $17,000 from Dunkin' of Greater Philadelphia today. The money is part of Dunkin's "Roast Hunger" program. For every large hot cup of coffee purchased by Perks members franchisees donate one dollar to five regional food banks. Second Harvest's director says the large donation will allow the food bank to provide well over a hundred thousand meals to families in need. Some of those families may have lost loved-ones to COVID-19.

"It's been a heart-breaking year, so to be able to, you know, provide meals to people who never seen this type of pain and suffering in their lives, it's huge."

Jordan says so far this year country harvest has fed about 60 thousand families a month. Over the last 10 years the Roast Hunger program has managed to raise over 10 million dollars.
