With spring and warm weather soon on the horizon people will be looking to get out of the house. A visit to the local zoo may just be in your future and starting March 1st you can go there any day of the week.
Because of the pandemic the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville chose to close its doors to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays. The limited days open helped the zoo with maintenance and special projects, but with things warming up they're ready to open up full-time.
"People want to get out. We had a great fall, we had a great winter, we had a great winter light spectacular this year because people want to come and do something. They want to get some fresh air and this is such a great place to take kids where they can see the animals and walk around and not feel pressured to leave."
The zoo will be open from 10am to 3pm staring March 1st and will be open 10am to 4pm starting in April.
