Thousands are vaccinated at the Lehigh Valley Health Network's first mass vaccination site in Monroe County.
The clinic was held at Pocono Raceway on Saturday in Long Pond. A team of frontline workers administered first doses of the Moderna vaccine for free. Administrators followed a very tight appointment schedule to keep the long line of people moving smoothly.
"Their appointment time is critically important because we can't have all the people at 12:00 showing up at 8:00 or vice versa. Because we know it takes about 1-2 minutes to get each person through the lane," Terry Burger, Administrator of Infection Control & Prevention, said.
Everyone who received their first dose at that clinic should return to the site on April 14th at the same time slot to receive their second dose.
