A Monroe County business gives back to first responders in the community.
The owner of the Blu Studio in Stroudsburg, Justine Riches, has been saving up ten percent of every sale over the past month. The studio's savings allowed her to donate almost $3,500 to the Stroud Township Fire Department that has been struggling over the course of the pandemic.
"We're just like everybody else in the fire service, we have to survive. We've lost donations over the last year, fundraising events, hall rentals. So, this really helps us," William Unruh, Fire Department Chief, said.
The owner of the studio tells us her business has thrived during this time when most others have not, so she wanted to give back in any way she could.
