Monroe County officials need your help in reducing the risk of injury or personal damage from future disasters. The county has been awarded a grant to update the 2016 Hazard Mitigation Plan which is required every five years. The multi-jurisdictional planning effort strives to identify potential hazards as a way to avoid them by preparing for them. That's why the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management needs your help in taking a survey.

Monroe County Emergency Management Director Maryellen Keegan says, "It’s important for the community to participate in the survey, we need to hear your voice, we need to know what your concerns are in the community and in our hazards to help us in the planning process."
