A new fall festival is coming to Weissport this Labor Day and organizers are calling it Weiss-Stock.

Nicole Baker of St. Peter's Community Resource Center approached Weissport Borough Council about a one-day community festival to be held September 4th. Organizers are currently booking vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and a company to provide kids rides and games. It's all in an effort to raise funds for the community center roof with a fun, family-friendly event.

"There's a lot of different groups and organizations that utilize the building and without a roof there's no building. It's not safe."

"We would like to raise about $5,000 if possible that's the big, the big goal, but you always have to be realistic. It depends on who we get in here. It depends on the vendors. It depends on the people coming out."

Baker hopes on making the festival in Weissport Borough Park a yearly event to raise money for the town. Anyone interested in volunteering or making basket raffle or monetary donations should contact St. Peter's Facebook page.
