You can beat the heat by stopping at your favorite ice cream shop, and we found plenty of ways to keep cool at the Big Star Drive-in in Stroudsburg.

It's no secret the warm weather causes an increase in ice cream sales and Big Star is no exception. The drive-in has been around for 70 years and it's one of the oldest in the state. News 13 stopped by to see how this week's heat is affecting business.

"We sell an incredible amount of ice cream and food, but especially on these hot days and these super... super hot days like this, we tend to be obviously busier cause people are looking to cool down," Peter Hambos, Owner, said.

Big Star's trademark item is their comets. It's a blend of candy or fruit with ice cream. Of course they serve cones, shakes, sundaes and more to keep you cool.
