The Carbon County Fair is just a few weeks away and the 2021 premium guide book is now available.
The new guide can be found at a number of carbon county locations including the Lehighton Library and Jim Thorpe train station. It explains all the rules and has all the information on where people can go to enter their displays to the fair. Categories include arts and crafts, baking, fruits, vegetables, hay, grain, and even Christmas trees. Organizers say they're always looking for angel food cake, chocolate cake, and blue ribbon apple pie contest entries where winners could go onto the farm show.
"I would encourage everyone if you have anything just pick up one of these guides."
"With the children there's no entry fee cost at all, they, I know in the schools they make wonderful art projects, so dig those out of the closet and bring the to the fair. We would love to see them."
The entry fee for baking contests is one dollar per entry and the deadline for all entries is July 24th. A PDF version of the guide is also available online at carboncountyfair.com.
