Next week two local libraries are hosting kid's programs showing the cool side of science, technology, engineering, and math so they might shoot for the stars when it comes to their personal education.

Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe and Weatherly Community Area Library will be offering children two separate STEM activity programs exploring forensic science. The first is July 20th at the Weatherly Library... The second will be at the Rotary Summer Recreation Camp at the Jim Thorpe Memorial Park Pavilion on July 21st. Both will run from 1-2pm..

"It's called Fun With Fingerprints and there will be take-home activities as well as books and some literature connections."

The programs are part of a STEM learning eco-system initiative working to ensure under-served and under-represented children develop stem knowledge and skills. For more information and to sign kids up for the activities contact the Weatherly Library or the Dimmick Memorial Library.
