State police are doing their part to keep everyone warm this year, and they're asking for your help. Donations are needed for the annual "PSP Coats for the Community Campaign".
New or gently used coats, gloves, hats and blankets are needed for residents who are struggling to stay warm. Organizers tell us the campaign began after seeing residents of all ages walking down the street without warm clothing.
"I think now more than ever now with COVID families are struggling just to be able to pay their bills and put food on the table. And maybe that coast is the last thing that they need that they can't afford," Trooper David Peters, Public Information Officer, said.
Collections will be taking place through November 12th. Winter wear will be accepted at the State Police Barracks in Stroudsburg, Fernridge and Lehighton.
