United States Representative Susan Wild stops by Monroe county to highlight a local high school going above and beyond for their special education students.

East Stroudsburg South High School has a program that gives special needs students a look at responsibilities that come with living on your own in a protected environment. They use a "life skills apartment" that helps them develop useful tools like how to do laundry or make basic meals.

"I honestly think this is just a terrific program and seeing the apartment is particularly nice because it really resembles a home and it's the kind of thing that can really get the students interested and motivated," Wild, said.

Wild says she commends the school district for its efforts to prepare children for life after high school.
