If you are one of the unlucky few to see clouds all day and wondering why Hazleton had a high of 82 (yesterday) but Lehighton was a cool cloudy 67.... Its because of an inversion..

In a typical atmosphere, when you are under the clouds, the higher you go up the colder it gets.  When we have an issue like this, its the exact opposite.  Its cool at the surface, the clouds seal the deal but if you go above the cloud layer its actually much warmer.     That was the unfair reality we saw over Carbon County the past few days.
