Don't say anything bad about the Seton Hall Pirates, New York Yankees or New Jersey Giants (last time I checked, East Rutherford was west of the Hudson River) and you and Bob will get along just fine.
Bob's loyalty to the Yankees and Giants came from growing up in Trenton, New Jersey. The Pirates, well that came from spending 4 years on the Seton Hall campus. He even attended enough classes to earn a communications degree.
While at Seton Hall, Bob covered the Pirate's Mens' & Womens' basketball and baseball teams for campus radio station WSOU. He enjoyed every minute of it, except maybe that Virginia baseball tournament where 35 degree temperatures and metal folding chairs made a very unpleasant combination. He did have the distinction of being a wingback on the last two Pirate football teams before the program was disbanded, although no proof can be found that the two were related.
Capasso does have broadcasting experience in a foreign country, working for a radio station in Natchez, Mississippi before returning to the Union and joining 1160 WYNS in Lehighton, PA.
When not at a ballgame, breaking his leg on the ski slopes or trying to drown himself on his boat, Bob is a Sports Anchor/Reporter for Blue Ridge Cable's Eyewatch News 13, as well as Producer/Host of Sportscene 13 and Monday Evening Quarterback and Play-By-Play announcer for BRC's sports cablecasts.
Rumor has it that Bob also has hit a golf ball, but that could not be verified.
